  • Derrick Rose may play tonight, as he battles his sprained toe. Luol Deng (wrist sprain) will probably miss the contest. Joakim Noah will see how his sprained ankle is holding up today before making a decision. Taj Gibson’s messed-up ankle is likely to be rested. Finally, John Lucas III Esquire thinks his bruised sceptre is healed enough to give it a go. Ergo, nothing is certain regarding all five of these players. Your best bet is to tune into the game tonight, read the starting line-up, and then see if that line-up actually takes the court (as Jo was announced Saturday, but did not play).
  • The Eastern Conference has been the Phife to the West’s Q-Tip for some time now. As such, it is interesting to ponder where a Rose-less Bulls team would be seeded in the playoffs. Over the last week the Bulls, sans Rose, went 3-1, with their one loss coming against a Western Conference team (the Grizz). In each of their three wins, the Bulls won by comfortable margins. Granted, the three teams have as many combined wins as the Bulls (15), but you still have to take out the garbage in the NBA (especially the East) and the Bulls are doing just that. It is a small sample size, but it is conceivable that the Bulls could snag a top four seed without the reigning MVP. Of course, we all hope that this is just fun to imagine and will not become reality.

Every day is a drinking holiday with the correct mindset. Bounty Day may be a Corpse Reviver type of day.
