Cinco de Mayo’s on Tuesday

Tonight the Chicago Bulls face the San Antonio Spurs (7:30PM CST, ESPN) in the great city of the River Walk. This is not a good spot for the Bulls. The Spurs are that odd, boring blend talent developed by their system. They challenge for the title most every year with talent that they have fostered within their organization. And much like the Twins of Minnesota, we hate them for that. Chicago sports have a top-rated-prospect-turned-legit-starter ratio of about 8:1. Meanwhile, the Spurs consistently nurture and breast feed their talent to become annoying starters that execute the fundamentals of the game perfectly. Boring!

Silencio! Silencio!

The Bulls will be on the back half of a back-to-back and will have their backs to the back wall. I do not foresee this one going well for your Chicago Bulls. The line on the Bulls is +7 and I think that is rather optimistic. Without Boozer, the Spurs are the superior (and ageless)  team. There is only one real play here: load up on vodka/gin martinis (don’t knock it until you tried it) before the game and keep slinging them back during the game while tweeting all the while. I will be surprised if I remember the end of this one. Should make for one hell of a review!
